On January 14, 2019, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania launched a statewide anonymous reporting system called “Safe2Say Something” (S2SS) that allows students and adults to submit anonymous tips related to individuals who may be at risk of hurting themselves or others. The S2SS program originated under the Sandy Hook Promise, a national non-profit violence prevention organization, and is now mandated under PA state law.
The S2SS system provides three methods for students or adults to report anonymous safety tips or concerns:
- S2SS app: available for Apple and Android devices
- Website: www.safe2saypa.org
- S2SS Crisis Tip Line (24 hours a day): 1-844-SAF2SAY
