As we look to the 2021-2022 school year – and getting back to a full and active year of PTO events and fundraisers, we are seeking to fill the following open positions in the PTO. If you are interested in any of these positions, we want to hear from you! Simply fill out the Volunteer Interest Form, noting the position(s) you would like to learn more about.
Run PTO monthly meetings, attend monthly district presidents meeting, attend curriculum nights in the fall and work with VPs, chairs and parents to fill open positions. This commitment is estimated to be about 3 hours per week.
The Assistant Treasurer supports the Treasurer. Main responsibilities include making deposits to the PTO bank accounts, co-signing checks greater than $500, and serving as the Cultural Arts Endowment Treasurer if the position is not filled. This commitment is estimated to be 1-2 hours per week.
VP of Fundraising
This position is responsible for overseeing all of the fundraising efforts of the PTO as well as leading the Friends of Hillside campaign. This position includes attending and participating in monthly PTO meetings, board conversations and planning for the organization as a whole. Commitment is 2-3 hours per week.
Hillside Highlights Editor/Database Coordinator
The Highlights Editor manages the PTO’s weekly email newsletter, Hillside Highlights, and the email list database, all of which is housed in the web-based Constant Contact email program. It is easy to use and training is provided. Content is submitted by the HES community through the PTO website and comes direct by email. The Highlights editor copies and pastes the content into the email, sends tests for Principal and editing approval, then deploys the email.This position requires 1-2 hours per week, can be managed from home, during evenings and/or weekends. It can be split between 2 people if desired.
