The dynamic Doc Gibbs and his ensemble will get students out of their seats to participate in call and response songs and to experience and learn the history of percussion instruments from West Africa, Brazil, and the Caribbean. Doc Gibbs has toured with Anita Baker, Al Jarreau, Wyclef Jean and was the house band leader for Emeril Live on the Food Network Channel.

AudioBody synthesizes music, comedy, and technology for some seriously spectacular entertainment! This thrilling 45 minute show features an explosive mix of circus arts, relentless comedy, full-body contortion, juggling, LED light shows, and up-beat music! AudioBody have been featured performers on Disney Cruise Lines, at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas and at The White House on three different occasions!

Hillside is excited to welcome Kate McMullan, acclaimed author of more than 100 books for children. She is the author of picture books such as I STINK!, I’M DIRTY!, and I’M BAD!, easy reader books such as Pearl & Wagner and Fluffy, the Classroom Guinea Pig, chapter books like Dragon Slayers’ Academy, and many other award-winning children’s books.
As always, parents and family of Hillside students are welcome to attend the Cultural Arts programming events.
