Please help us show appreciation for our dedicated and hard-working teachers and staff members!
Hillside Elementary School is lucky to have so many wonderful teachers and staff to help our children learn and grow. From the classroom teachers to the special teachers to the nurses, reading specialists, custodians and more – our Hillside community works tirelessly day in and day out to enrich our children’s lives. In this challenging year, we are especially grateful for the dedication of the entire Hillside community – parents, students, teachers and staff.
Each year at the holidays, classes have typically come together to give a gift to their core teachers. We have also, in past years, held a school-wide collection for our special area teachers.
This year, we would like to collect gifts for ALL teachers and staff online until Sunday, December 20th. Please use the form below to make contributions to Core Teachers, Special Area Teachers and Hillside Staff.
We recognize that the pandemic has affected every family differently. Please know that participation in this collection is completely optional and individual contributors are anonymous.
Amounts collected for Core Teachers will be distributed evenly. The donation amount is up to you! Your contributions will be given to each teacher in the form of a Visa/Bank card.*
For the Special Area Teachers, we will evenly distribute the collection to Mrs. Braun (art), Mr. Haines (music), Ms. Lucy/Mrs. Phillips (library), and Mr. Hauer (physical education). A suggested amount is $5 per child, but any donation is appreciated! Your contributions will be given to each teacher in the form of a favorite gift card or a Visa/Bank card. Any amounts collected over $800 may be saved for a year-end Specials Teachers gift.
Depending on the amount collected, the Hillside Staff will receive their gifts in the form of a gift card or a small token of appreciation (e.g., plant, food basket, etc.). A suggested amount is $5 per child, but any donation is appreciated!
Once gifts or gift cards are purchased for all teachers and staff, a small balance may remain; these amounts will be rolled into a year-end collection.
Donations of ANY amount are appreciated! However, if you prefer to give directly to your child’s teacher or staff member, your gift may be mailed to Hillside or dropped off at the front desk (as long as the school remains open). For any questions, please contact Jami Barnett (schoolservices@hillsidepto.org) for Core Teacher collection, or Jackie Moroz (jacqueline.moroz@mdlz.com) regarding Special Teacher collection.
Thanks for your consideration and Happy Holidays!
