You Shop. Amazon Gives!
Many of our Hillside Elementary families are already shopping on Amazon.com — there’s nothing you can’t find on Amazon! But did you know that every time you shop on Amazon, you could be benefiting the PTO, too? You can support Hillside PTO every time you shop, at no additional cost to you – when you shop Amazon through AmazonSmile. Choose Hillside Elementary PTO as your charity, and Amazon will donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to the PTO.
AmazonSmile is the same Amazon.com that you already shop at – you just need to choose Hillside as your charity, then remember to shop through the AmazonSmile link each time you shop on Amazon.
Participating is Easy!
To begin shopping for the PTO, you only need to select us as your charity one time, then remember to use the Amazon link at the top of our website each time you shop. That’s it!
1. Visit our AmazonSmile page, then choose “Hillside Elementary School PTO as your charity. If you are not logged into your existing Amazon.com account, you will first need to log in.
If you do not see Hillside as the selected charity as in the screen above, you may have chosen a different charity in the past. Click “Select a different charity,” and you will be prompted to choose your charity. Type in “Hillside Elementary School PTO” and select us when the result returns. Be sure to choose the one in Berwyn, PA!
2. Shop through AmazonSmile. Once you have chosen your charity, Amazon will remember this for future visits; you do not need to select your charity each time you shop. However, you DO need to begin your shopping session by entering Amazon through http://smile.amazon.com, or clicking the link at the top of any page of this PTO website. Some browsers, like Chrome, also have an extension that will remind you to shop through AmazonSmile when you visit Amazon.com. If you submit your order through the regular amazon.com without going through AmazonSmile, your purchases will not be tracked through AmazonSmile and we will not receive the donation.
Be sure to click this link every time you are about to shop at Amazon.com!
Helpful Tip: already have a cart full of items at amazon.com but forgot to start shopping at AmazonSmile? No problem. With your items in the cart, simply type http://smile.amazon.com in your browser’s address bar and hit enter. You will then enter AmazonSmile, but all of your purchases are still in your cart. No need to empty your cart and start over!
You can be sure you are shopping for Hillside PTO by looking at the top left of your screen while you are shopping on Amazon. You should see the AmazonSmile logo, and Hillside Elementary PTO as your supporting charity. Additionally, when you check out, in your Order Summary screen, there will be a confirmation that your order is benefiting your charitable organization.
AmazonSmile is an excellent way for Hillside Elementary families to contribute to our school and our students without having to give up any extra time or money. If all of our parents who already use Amazon would remember to shop through AmazonSmile, we could significantly increase our annual fundraising without having to ask our families to do any more than they already do to support us! Feel free to tell extended family and friends – anyone can shop to support the PTO!
