What is the Hillside PTO?
The Hillside Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a volunteer-run organization committed to enhancing the school and social experience of the students and families in the Hillside Elementary School community. The PTO is a vital link between home and school, organizing and sponsoring many special events for our children and families, and raising funds to provide enhancements to our school.
What Programs and Enhancements Does the PTO Lead?
Past PTO-led events include Cultural Arts assemblies and theme week, spring fair, the fourth grade party, classroom parties, staff appreciation events, winter social, and ice skating social. The PTO also runs numerous after school clubs and activities for our children, such as Art Club, Running Club, Gardening Club, STEAM Club, Yoga Club, Chess Club, Music Clubs, and many others. Past enhancements include a cafeteria sound system, Smart Boards for classrooms, frame artwork from the Art Goes to School program, the rock wall for the gym, a new Hillside School sign, and various beautification projects for the property.
Who is the PTO?
All parents and guardians of Hillside students are automatically members of the Hillside PTO. Each year Hillside depends on parent volunteers for their skills, time, and dedication to our students to help run PTO-sponsored events, clubs, events and activities. As members of the Hillside PTO, it is our mission to support and enrich our children’s school experience.
